Happy International Women’s Day!
Today marks the 104th celebration of International Women’s Day, and there have been events throughout the world to celebrate it.
I’ve written an article for Bernews to mark the day, giving a short history of the day and a discussion about the problems that patriarchy represents for us all, especially in Bermuda.
The BPSU hosted a presentation last night, with Cheryl Packwood giving an interesting and insightful review of her experiences; Venus Memari also spoke, but I haven’t found a review of her speech online yet.
Tomorrow the BIU will be hosting another event, with Judith Hall-Bean being the guest speaker.
