OPC is a pro Brown pro independence middle class arrogant pig website. RUF was an anti-Brown anti independence anti corruption workers group. The Gestapo arrested some of the members before the election and a ceasefire was agreed. OPC is part of the Gestapo oppressors so it is no wonder they were mad of the being called the hated enemy. There job is to revive Independence. Only the workers can take Bermuda Independent. The middle class have too much bills to pay.

Yeah, I want to stress that they do have some really good posts, but there are some that to me are more counter-productive to what I think they are trying to do.

An another note, I found my copy of ‘Is Massa Day Dead; Black Moods in the Caribbean’ by Orde Coombs, and I thought I should type it properly here, the relevant bit at least:

“Massa Day it seems never ends in the West Indies. It only grows Blacker.”

“In other words, the old system of elite control persists. The only change is one of personnel. Black replaces White, and native replaces foreigner, but the dominant class still dictates to a subordinate majority, relating to them with contempt, condescension and cynical paternalism.”

This was written in 1974, and quite frankly it just seems to prove that old adage that the more things change the more they stay the same. This analysis, more than thirty years old, is of extreme clarity and relevance to our current situation, and I thank BOP for giving me a good excuse to type it up here for y’all. Its really an excellent book, although hard to come across these days; I got mine in a second hand bookshop up in TO some years ago, but I think it can be ordered online (what can’t these days) and I reccomend it to anyone.

Ironically enough, I checked out this site for the first time today. I went through several pages of postings and comments to get a feel for the site. Some of the postings I found informative, especially the one about Ethiopia and how their warriors fended off the country from invasion. But a lot of it was more on the offensive towards whites. Some of the comments go way over the line of being candid and honest (Brutally or not, I can take comments like this), but many were completely unfair and biased and founded in the past but not of much relevance of the present, nor are they helpful in bridging the racial divide. I think they do more for everyone with their more historical and factual postings regarding slavery and African roots than some of the more divisive rhetoric, especially around the time of the election.
